Another common health concern among children is asthma. It causes narrowing and swelling of the airways, making it hard for your child to breath. Common symptoms of asthma include shortness of breath, tightness of the chest, wheezing and excessive coughing. In most cases, asthma in children is caused by allergens such as pollen, mold, dust, animal fur, chemicals present in food, extreme changes in the weather and much more.
The best treatment for asthma is avoiding the triggers, taking asthma medications through inhalers and anything else the doctor advices. If your child’s asthma is as a result of any pets’ fur, you should consider removing the pets from the house. If there is mold in the house, you should also remove it immediately. Finally, during the cold weather, make sure that your child is always warm to prevent any asthma triggers.

To keep your child healthy, avoid using too much medication since your child might develop resistance making the symptoms worse.
