We all hate to see our loved ones getting older. Sometimes they face a major health hurdle that will stay with them for life or require a few months of very intensive care. Believe it or not, most people will require some type of long-term care, skilled senior care, dementia or Alzheimer’s care, or elderly care in their lives. Though, such care is costly. While look at elder care is as morbid and sad as booking funeral plots, it is necessary to be prepared.

Consider purchasing long-term care insurance separately or as a rider to a life insurance policy. Others are prepared to sell their home to afford nursing care.
